Meet Cat Bean, the person behind the lens

Based in tulsa, ok. photographing since 2019.

Hi, im Cat! I am a queer and disabled photographer based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am a mother, a survivor, and an advocate for human rights. I have always had a passion for photography, starting my freshman year of high school. I've worked in studios, did some online courses, plus some college classes on photography. I've spent years mastering my craft, and I believe every session should be treated asa its own individual art piece (because it is!)

I edit boldly usually, but sometimes a simpler approach is needed. I will always ask if you prefer my bold work or a more simple edit. I pride myself in being a safe space for all people, regardless of your gender identity, race, or background.  I am on the spectrum and have a child on the spectrum, so patience and understanding are also a guarantee when working with me.

FAQ

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Depending on the location and need. yes! A travel fee would apply. Please send me info on your ideas for an appropriate quote.

Can I use the photos for social media and marketing materials?

Yes! These images are for you to use as you see fit. The only rule I have is no reselling images. I own the copyright on all of my work, you can use these images for business promotion or personal use.

What is your reschedule policy?

If the reschedule is due to an emergency. weather threat, or sickness - there is no rescheduling fee. Life happens! I will be as accommodating as I can, and reschedule for a day we both are available.

If the reschedule is due to mismanagement of funds, time, or clients own mistakes, a new deposit is required. If you no call no show, the whole session fee plus deposits are due for both the missed session and a makeup session.

What if I hate my photos?

Please just be kind and honest with me! If it is a mistake I can correct, or an editing style you don't like, I will do my best to accommodate your request. In my contracts, clients agree that they review my portfolio before booking with me. If the photos match my work, I will ask for a re-edit fee (the cost ranges from $50 - $300 depending on the gallery size and request.) If the issues stem from a mechanical error on my end, or if the camera malfunctions, I will offer a free redo session in appropriate situations. I know photography is an investment and I want you to LOVE your images!
